1545 – The future of cannabis
Premium innovation concept for our favorite magazine
Surface Magazine wanted a creative point of view on the future of cannabis and cannabis-based products if it was made legal across the US.
With a completely open brief we decided to avoid the usual products found on the market, and instead dived into the history books to find a solid story and idea.
Our submission, created in collaboration with Marc Thorpe Design, was a range of cannabis-infused botanical teas. The name '1545' comes from the year cannabis is believed to have officially arrived in the New World aboard a Spanish ship. Tea would likely have begun to make its way to the New World around the same time. There are two strengths of tea. Black (the Spanish Bull with 120 THC) and white (the dove with only 40 THC).
